Hispano Suiza joins the ACCIONA | SAINZ XE Team as sponsor for the 2022 season of Extreme E, which starts this weekend in Neom, Saudi Arabia, with the Desert X Prix.
With this new agreement, the winged logo of the Spanish automaker will feature alongside the other partners of the team in the front and in the back of the Odyssey 21 of Laia Sanz and Carlos Sainz. It will already be visible in Saudi Arabia.
Extreme E is a ground-breaking electric off-road championship that fights climate change and promotes gender equality. It does so by supporting environmental projects in the different locations of its calendar and by having complete gender parity in the line-up of the teams, among other measures.
ACCIONA | SAINZ XE Team is the racing team of Carlos Sainz, ACCIONA and QEV Technologies, and its drivers are the highly successful Laia Sanz and Carlos Sainz, who already raced together in the 2021 season. They clinched a podium in Greenland’s Arctic X Prix and this year they aim to take a step forward and to fight for victories and the overall title.
Besides the sporting side, Extreme E stands out from any other championship because of its social commitment. The series promotes both gender equality in motorsports and also the urgency to take action against climate change. In fact, the series is carbon neutral.
